Pivotal

4-Week Self-Guided Somatic Journey

If you grew up learning to override your feelings, shrink your needs, and keep moving — your body has been keeping score. Menopause has a way of making that impossible to ignore any longer.

Somewhere beneath the exhaustion — beneath the coping and the competence and the long list of things you've already tried — your body is asking to be heard.

Pivotal is a four-week, self-guided somatic journey for Gen X women who suspect there's more going on beneath the surface than hormones alone.

A small step. Into a much bigger territory.

When knowing isn’t enough

When trying harder isn't the answer

You're smart. Sensitive. Capable. The one who holds everything together — for your family, your work, your world. You've done the reading. You know what the window of tolerance is. You've tried therapy, yoga, breathwork, meditation — and you've shown up to all of it with genuine effort.

And yet — since menopause began, something has shifted. The strategies that once kept everything steady are no longer working. You feel numb or overwhelmed, sometimes within the same hour. Sleep is unreliable. Memory, once your sharpest tool, falters — and the quiet shame of that feeds the very loop you're trying to escape.

On the outside, you are still high-functioning and composed. Inside, you are tired of holding it all together.

Here is what nobody tells you: this is not a failure of effort.

Menopause is not only a hormonal event. As progesterone — the body's natural sedative — begins to disappear, the nervous system loses a buffer it may have relied on for decades. Old patterns of coping — overworking, staying busy, staying numb — begin to strain. The body, insistent now in a way it never was before, refuses to be outrun.

You cannot think your way out of this. And you cannot heal what you cannot feel.

Pivotal exists because the body is not the obstacle. It is the way through.

This isn't therapy. It's not yoga as you know it. It's quieter and more honest than either — four weeks of meeting your body differently. With less force. More presence. And a quality of attention most of us were never taught to offer ourselves.

The Four Layers of Pivotal

Pivotal moves through four elements — each one addressing a different layer of the work, each building gently on the last.

This is not a programme designed to fix you. It is designed to help you feel what is already there — at a pace your nervous system can meet.

Earth — Grounding & Safety

You don't need to feel calm. You need to feel here.

We begin by arriving in the body, not the mind. Earth practices build a felt sense of internal steadiness — not through force or willpower, but through simple, repeated gestures of attention. For many women, this is the first time in years they've felt genuinely settled.

Earth teaches what it means to be held — by the ground beneath you, by your own breath, by the deep and reliable rhythm of a nervous system finding its floor.

Fire — Power of Choice

From automatic response to conscious choice.

Many women have spent decades saying yes when they meant no — out of habit, out of fear, out of conditioning so deep it became invisible. Fire practices help you begin to notice the difference between a response that arises from truth and one that arises from survival.

This is not about becoming more assertive. It is about being able to feel the difference.

Water — Emotional Reconnection

What's been held at arm's length begins to soften.

Menopause has a way of bringing emotion closer to the surface. Grief, longing, rage, joy — feelings that were once carefully managed begin to press against the edges of daily life. Water practices create a safe and paced container for reconnecting with feeling — not through analysing it, but through noticing where it lives in your body.

Water teaches how to let emotion move through you, rather than collecting in the tissues.

Air — Embodied Sovereignty

What it means to belong to yourself.

The final week weaves everything together. Air is about integration: living from inside your skin, taking up the space that was always yours, speaking from a place that isn't borrowed from someone else's expectations of who you should be.

Not a transformation — a return.

The Four layers of Pivotal

This is not a linear or performance-based journey. Some months will feel quiet. Others may feel tender or alive. You’re invited to move at the pace your nervous system allows, with space to integrate rather than push.

Integrate. Expand. Learn to live from inside your own skin.

Pivotal is self-guided — designed to work in the rhythms of your actual life, not an idealised version of it. Practices are short, portable, and deliberately unglamorous. They don't require a mat, a studio, or a rare window of quiet. They require only a willingness to pay a different kind of attention.

What's Inside Pivotal

Guided Audio Somatic Practices

A new practice delivered each week — short enough to fit inside a real day. These are not performance-based or push-through practices. They are invitations: to notice, to feel, to return. Grounded in trauma-sensitive yoga and somatic work, each audio guides you gently into your body at a pace your nervous system can meet.

All recordings are yours to keep and return to beyond the four weeks.

Video Content

Each week opens with a short video — a grounded, honest introduction to the element you're working with, what it means somatically, and why it matters at this particular threshold of a woman's life.

PDF Workbook & Journal Prompts

Gentle, body-led writing invitations to help you track your inner landscape and give language to what you're noticing. Not a performance journal — a place to listen.

Community Space on Skool

Pivotal is hosted on Skool, a simple and beautifully designed platform for courses and community. No app download needed — it works in any browser.

Once you enrol, you'll receive an email with a link to access your course immediately.Access to a free, open community where you can connect with other women doing this work. A place to share what you're noticing, ask questions, and feel accompanied — without the intensity of a closed container.

Women in the six-month Alchemy programme have access to a private community space. Pivotal members are warmly welcomed into the wider, open Skool community.

What’s included

This Is For You If…

  • You're navigating perimenopause, menopause, or post-menopause — and something beneath the hormonal picture feels unresolved.

  • You've tried yoga, therapy, breathwork, or meditation — and still feel as though something essential is missing.

  • You live mostly in your head, and long to feel more grounded, more present, more real to yourself.

  • Emotions feel closer to the surface now — grief, rage, longing — and you're not sure how to meet them without becoming overwhelmed.

  • You override your needs daily, even as your body sends increasingly clear signals that it needs something different.

  • You sense that menopause is not just hormonal — it's revealing patterns that are no longer serving you.

  • You're not ready for a six-month commitment. But you are ready to begin.

This Is Not for You If…

  • You're looking for a quick fix or a symptom-management tool.

  • You prefer purely cognitive approaches and aren't interested in working with the body.

  • You're not willing to slow down — even slightly.

  • You want someone to fix you, rather than to meet yourself differently.

  • You're seeking performance, productivity, or optimisation rather than depth, presence, and truth.

Words from women who have walked this path

  • “But here, I learned my body already knew what to do — I had what I needed within me. With compassion and choice, I began trusting myself, feeling emotions without being destroyed by them, and even releasing trauma without being overwhelmed.”

  • “Even though I am not in menopause just yet, this course was a great support during a big life transformation for me. Even though the course was online, Soraya created a space of warmth and safety where I was able to get back into connection with my body and my feelings through somatic practices and reflections.”

    — Jule

  • “My life is busy and I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to fit in the course, but it’s designed really well to fit around a packed schedule. The exercises didn’t take much time at all — but they were powerful and profound. They helped me pepper my day with moments of connection, grounding myself and feeling whatever I was feeling, with far less self-judgement.”

    — Mary

  • “At the time I joined, I felt low in energy and quite stuck. I felt blocked, disconnected from myself, and tired of running into the same inner wall. Through the practices, I realised that real change starts in small moments — not through force, but through awareness and presence.”

    — Ayla

  • “Although I have been through menopause, I can easily stay in my head — overthinking and ruminating. This course helped me focus on hearing what my body is saying and letting it take the lead. The four elements gave me a really useful way to understand my nervous system and what is happening in my body.”

    — Sally

  • “What I love most about working with Soraya is that everything she teaches comes from her own healing journey. Her knowledge of the nervous system and somatic healing, and her ability to translate this into relatable tools and actions, is very powerful. I feel more empowered in expressing myself and showing up more fully in my life.”

    — Dawn

  • “I found belonging to this circle of special women very valuable and affirming. Exploring together in this space meant a lot to me.”

    — Sally

  • “Movement released so much more for me than sitting in a counselling room. I carried on for years being brave and strong, swallowing down grief and hiding emotion. I felt numb, unable to express what I needed. I learned to notice my body, feel emotion safely, and release what I’d been holding. Now, I feel calmer, more aware of what I truly feel, and I’m discovering a growing inner confidence I never thought possible.”

PIVOTAL

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Pivotal is for women navigating any stage of menopause — peri, mid, or post — who sense that the hormonal picture is only part of what's asking to be addressed. It is particularly well-suited to women who have explored therapy or personal development work and still feel like something in the body hasn't quite caught up.

  • Pivotal is not psychotherapy. It is a trauma-informed, body-led programme grounded in somatic practice and trauma-sensitive yoga. It can complement therapy well, but it does not replace clinical mental health treatment.

  • Therapy often works from the top down — through insight, language, and understanding. Pivotal works from the bottom up. It supports nervous system regulation and embodiment, helping you feel what you may already understand intellectually. Many women find they've been circling the same insights for years; this work helps those insights finally land.

  • That's one of the most common things women bring to this work. Everything in Pivotal is invitational and paced. You are never pushed. The practices are designed to be gentle enough that your nervous system doesn't brace against them — which is precisely what makes them effective.

  • The practices are intentionally short — designed to be woven into daily life rather than requiring a dedicated block of time. Think ten minutes at the kitchen kettle, or a few minutes before sleep. Integration happens through consistency, not intensity.

  • What if I fall behind or can't keep to the weekly structure? Everything in Pivotal is self-paced. There is no performance schedule and no catching up required. The materials are yours to work through in the order and rhythm that suits you.

  • It can be. Pivotal is a complete, self-contained journey in its own right. It is also a meaningful first step for women who feel drawn to the deeper six-month work of Alchemy but aren't yet ready for that container. Many women find that four weeks of Pivotal gives them clarity about whether Alchemy is the right next step for them.

Begin Here

Pivotal won't transform you in four weeks.

But it will show you what's possible when you stop abandoning yourself.

Four weeks. Four elements. One quiet, honest beginning.

If after Pivotal you sense there is deeper work to do — the six-month journey of Alchemy is there. But that is a question for later. For now, this is enough.
