Confidentiality Policy
Confidentiality Policy
Your privacy and trust are deeply respected.
Anything you share with me in sessions, programmes, retreats, or conversations is treated with care and confidentiality.
I do not share personal information about you with others.
There are a few rare situations where confidentiality may need to be broken in order to protect safety.
When Confidentiality May Be Broken
Confidentiality may need to be broken if I believe there is a serious risk of harm.
This may include situations where:
• you may be at risk of harming yourself
• you may be at risk of harming someone else
• a vulnerable person may be experiencing abuse or neglect
In these situations I may need to contact appropriate services in order to protect safety.
This may include:
• your GP or healthcare provider
• a therapist or mental health professional involved in your care
• local safeguarding services
• emergency services or the police
Where possible, I will always try to discuss this with you first.
Professional Support & Supervision
Like many practitioners, I sometimes discuss my work in professional supervision or reflective practice.
This helps ensure I am offering ethical and responsible support.
In these situations:
• no identifying details are shared
• all information is anonymised
Your identity and privacy are protected.
Working With Other Professionals
Sometimes it may be helpful to communicate with another professional involved in your care.
This could include:
• a therapist
• a doctor
• another care provider
This would only happen with your permission, unless there is a serious safety concern.
Emergency Contact Information
For some programmes, retreats, or ongoing work, you may be asked to provide an emergency contact.
This contact would only be used if there were a genuine concern about your wellbeing or safety.
Questions
If you have any questions about confidentiality, you are always welcome to ask.
