A Somatic Path to Wholeness

Online trauma healing for those

who feel too much, or not at all.

Blending Trauma-Sensitive Yoga, Somatics & Intuitive Healing

to alchemise the stories of your past

into wisdom - into sensation - into embodied truth

You’ve carried your past like armour. Therapy helped you understand it.

But knowing isn’t the same as feeling. Healing begins in the body —when we learn to speak its language. When we stop overriding.

When we stay with sensation instead of pushing it away.

This is the work: not escaping your story, but transforming it

I work with people across the world — who are navigating big transitions: menopause, burnout, and the long echo of complex trauma. Guiding them back to the wisdom of their body through online somatic yoga and nervous system repair.

Somatic healing is a journey of survival into self trust

We all have a deep need to understand what hurt us.

But before we can repair what’s wounded, we must first return to ourselves as a whole.

This work invites you to reconnect with your body as your guide—

  • To learn the rhythm of your nervous system.

  • To listen to the quiet, inner language beneath the noise.

  • To exist beyond the story of your trauma — and into the truth of who you are now.

This is the essence of somatic therapy: a body-led approach to trauma healing, nervous system repair, and reclaiming your truth.

the path to inner safety and connection

This work is for you, if…..

  • You look calm on the outside—but inside, you feel numb, disconnected and a stranger to yourself

  • You’ve done the therapy, read the books, can name your trauma—but still feel stuck

  • You live mostly in your head, rarely in your body

  • You crave feeling more—joy, anger, longing—but don’t know how touch it safely

  • You override your needs daily, and can’t remember the last time you truly rested or put yourself first

  • You ache for slowness, but you’re scared of what might rise if you stop moving.

  • You’re high-functioning, capable, praised for your strength—but exhausted by holding it all together

  • You feel like you’re sleepwalking through life—and you’re ready to wake up

  • You don’t just want healing—you want to live from your body, your truth, your sovereignty

If any of this speaks to you, this work can meet you — gently, truthfully, and at the pace your body allows.

What others say…..

  • My confidence has soared, I am comfortable being uncomfortable.

I cannot stress how much this has helped me. Soraya has a way about her that is not judgemental, not rushed and is so intuitive. So far I have achieved losing weight and a healthy lifestyle, improved relationships. I cannot recommend Soraya and trauma sensitive yoga highly enough and not even for a traumatic event but when you don’t feel you have choices, power or control over your life.”

Your nervous system healing journey, starts here

There isn’t one right doorway. The path you choose depends on how you’re ready to begin

The Threshold 1:1 guidance

Sometimes what we need isn’t a course or a group. It’s a steady hand, a safe space, someone walking beside us as we learn to feel again.

The Threshold is my 1:1 offering: a trauma-informed space where we use trauma-sensitive yoga to support the slow, gentle unwinding of what your body has been holding.

This is not about fixing you or rushing your healing. It’s about meeting you where you are today — numb, guarded, restless, or raw — and helping you cross into deeper self-trust, one step at a time.

Each session is an invitation to:

  • Reconnect with your body as guide

  • Learn the rhythm of your nervous system

  • Stay with sensation instead of pushing it away

  • Discover what it means to feel safe enough to feel

Whether you’re navigating CPTSD, the threshold of menopause, or simply the quiet exhaustion of holding it all together — The Threshold offers a way through.

Alchemy of Sovereignty (6-Month Online Course)

Menopause — and other thresholds in life — can feel like collapse, like losing the self you once knew. But what if it’s not the end? What if it’s the portal?

Alchemy of Sovereignty is a 6-month rite of passage for those ready to move beyond surviving into fully living.

Through trauma-sensitive yoga, somatic practices, and elemental wisdom, you’ll be guided to thaw numbness, release what’s been carried too long, and rebuild trust in your body.

We journey through four pillars — Rooted Safety, Emotional Reconnection, Power of Choice, and Embodied Sovereignty — each woven with practices inspired by the elements: earth to ground, water to soften, fire to reclaim, air to expand.

This is not about fixing yourself. It’s about remembering what was never lost, and letting the body show you the way home.

Raw & Real Retreats

Wild Alchemy in Nature

These aren’t polished wellness getaways. They’re raw and real — intimate gatherings in wild corners of the UK and Europe, where we strip things back to what matters: nature, presence, truth.

Rooted in simplicity and community, these retreats open a threshold: a space to lay down the armour, step out of performance, and meet yourself as you are.

We weave somatic yoga, shadow work, sound, and elemental practices — with the land itself as guide. Mountain, river, fire, forest. Each reminds us how to soften, release, and return.

This isn’t about escape. It’s about remembering.

A remembering of your body, your voice, your belonging.

A remembering that happens not in isolation, but through being witnessed — raw, unpolished, and real.

Trauma Sensitive Yoga

Healing Complex Trauma through your Body

Trauma Sensitive Yoga has foundations in Trauma Theory, Attachment Theory, Neuroscience and Hatha Yoga practice. It is an adjunctive treatment for Complex Trauma (CPTSD) and treatment resistant Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). You don’t have to be flexible or have done yoga before.

Hi, I’m Soraya

A person lying on grass surrounded by bluebell flowers

I am an intuitive guide, a coach, a healer, and a trauma survivor.

Our stories may be different, but I know this: the path to healing is not one-size-fits-all.

From my own journey of reclaiming who I am, I’ve come to understand that trauma lives in the body — and so does the truth of who we are.

For years, I could explain why I was the way I was.

But knowing didn’t help me switch it off. I needed the how.

That question — how do I stop living in constant override? — took me on a 12-year journey. One led not just by textbooks, but mainly by intuition.

It’s taken me through the realms of:

  • Somatic Experiencing

  • Trauma-Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY)

  • Sound healing and chanting

  • plant medicine

  • Osteopathy, homeopathy and other body-based therapies

  • and most importantly, embodied yoga — my home practice for over 35 years.

Today, I weave these threads — yoga, somatics, sound, shadow work — to create spaces for others to untangle their past and return to themselves.

I’ve been practicing yoga for over 35 years, and facilitating for 20. My learning has unfolded through over a 1,000 hrs of embodied study — not just in formal yoga trainings, but through somatic modalities, intuitive healing, and trauma-informed practices that go far beyond today’s wellness trends.

But what shapes me most is lived experience. I lived much of my life not realising I had trauma.

My protective patterns were so polished, so praised, that I didn’t know I was still in survival mode.

My role isn’t to fix you — you’re not broken.

My work is to guide you back to your own north star, so you can begin to guide yourself, with compassion, understanding, resilience and love

You are already wise. Already whole. This is the work of remembering.
