RAW & REAL
OFF-GRID MOUNTAIN RETREAT
Simple living, real people, real nature, real conversations, real connection - 7 days of Real Life
“I realised you gave me something far bigger than a retreat week — a lasting shift in daily life. That one week changed my life permanently for the better.”
A DIFFERENT KIND OF RETREAT
not a retreat centre,
A Home.
You won't be staying in a commercial retreat centre or a boutique villa. You'll be welcomed into our home. A mountain chalet built by hand over a hundred years ago, bought as a ruin and lovingly restored over the last fifteen years. 1300m up in the French Alps, nestled in pine forests with the sound of the gorge thundering below and an ever changing picture of the sky and the mountains.
Here, we are off-grid. No electricity cables or wifi. Water straight from the mountains. A wood-fired range for cooking and hot water and a hot tub on the mountainside. Canvas tents under a blanket of stars.
Guests often say it feels like being welcomed into a family. Many choose to return year after year. Because what happens here is real. Not scripted, not packaged, not repeatable anywhere else.
The group stays small. A maximum of 12. That intimacy is everything. It's what allows the trust, the depth, the conversations you didn't know you needed to have.
Nothing packaged, nothing rehearsed
What awaits you
Guests come expecting yoga and mountain air. What they find is something harder to describe — and impossible to forget.
A place that doesn't ask you to be anything
Once you arrive, something opens. You don't have to perform or protect yourself here. Soraya and Mike hold the space with such care and non-judgement that vulnerability feels natural — even welcome.
Yoga that goes beyond the mat
Two daily practices — dynamic and restorative — alongside pranayama, meditation, and philosophy. Perfect for beginners and experienced practitioners alike. The focus is always awareness, not performance.
Strangers become a community that become a family
Something about this place — the mountains, the fire, the shared meals — opens people up. Guests consistently describe conversations deeper than any they've had with close friends.
The mountains do the rest
Alpine hikes with self enquiry woven in. Hammocks. The hot tub at sunset. The choir of crickets at night. Always the ever changing light over the mountains. Nature holds you in ways nothing else can.
